Aura — the sound mode
Aura is a standalone sound mode alongside the equalizer. It replaces the normal upsampling with a high-quality reconstruction filter bank with oversampling and noise-shaping and can be rounded off with an optional Glow. Aura is independent of the EQ and is not touched by presets.
10.1 Timbres

| Gentle | Minimum-phase and apodizing, gently rolled-off treble, no pre-ringing |
| Warm | Gentle treble roll-off, shortest impulse response, fuller and softer sound |
| Crystal | Linear-phase and apodizing, without treble reduction — clean and clear |
10.2 Fine-tuning and glow
The fine-tuning slider tilts the balance steplessly from warm (more bass, softer treble) to bright (clearer treble) — additive to the chosen timbre. Glow mixes in a very subtle, warm overtone (analogue shimmer). Reset fine-tuning resets the fine-tuning.
🎧 Aura and DSD
Aura takes over the oversampling and thereby replaces the upsampling. With DSD playback Aura has no effect — the DSD stream stays bit-exact.
